The past month has been busy on many fronts. We have been learning & practicing new skills such as…

Honing his hopscotch skills
…hopscotch…
I hate to brag, but I’m still pretty good, despite a 15 +/- respite. I try to be a good mom, and let him win a few rounds!
What is more fun than painting on the walls when you are 4?

Home sweet home
And finally having the center of our home look as warm and happy as it is!
After much deliberation, we settled on a color, and spent the past two weekends taping, edging, painting, hanging, etc. I am pleased, thrilled, over the moon, in love, all of the above, with our wall color! The name is Arizona Tan, which just doesn’t do it justice. It is rich and warm, and the perfect shade of gold – not too yellow, orange, or brown. It slowly morphs throughout the day, changing subtly, but beautifully. I adore this color, and am having to show some serious self-restraint not to paint all of the bedrooms the exact same color.
As for the curtains, I have to share this story. We purchased two curtains to test them out in the room. Of course, A. liked one, and I liked the other. Our house is a democracy (in most things), so we asked S. his opinion. He agreed with me. The curtains in the picture above were his favorite “because they are clowny!” That’s all we need – another clown in the house!
