The Family

Hello! I am Rachel, a wife to A, and second mama to S. We live in Charlotte, NC, although we pretend to live a much more rural life that we currently have. Both Alan & I were raised in small towns, and long for the mountains.

I work outside of the home, planning social, educational, and philanthropic activities. I love my job, and the many hats that it allows me to wear. I am an avid reader, enjoy cooking, love baking, and am attempting to nurture my green thumb. I enjoy learning and creativity, and am making a conscious effort this year to incorporate these opportunities into my daily life (resuming my neglected knitting habit being task #1, and we will see what happens after that!).

As a family, laughter is a part of daily life. We try to laugh together, but sometimes, the situation requires laughing at someone you love dearly! We try to maintain a light, relaxed, and positive outlook on all that we do. As a result, laughter just happens. There isn’t much peace & quiet, but there is a lot of love, laughter, and fun being had together. Hopefully, this site will allow me to share with you a glimpse into our world.
